Students now a days should have the freedom to give their opinion and thought on a certain peer's performance in class. It is only fair for students to have just as much say as a teacher, when it comes to grading, after all, we are the ones who are constantly collaborating and sharing ideas amongst each other.
In the IA we are encouraged to show trust within our classmates, having enough confidence when giving our opinion and voice on the things decided as a community.
After performing our POL's we were told to crowdsource our peers according to their performance in class and presentation of learning, crowdsourcing is quite a different way of grading, it is when others apart from the teacher are allowed to give opinion on how well you are doing academically. I believe this is a great opportunity to show trust between the IA class, having the freedom to deliver constructive feedback and give others our personal thought.
Being all present during the POLs , we were able to give those performing our full attention, keeping an eye on possible suggestions for future improvements. This was a great opportunity for the entire class to give each other advice on how to succeed when it comes to presentations like these.
