This weekend was defiently the most inspiring, I took the choice to leave for a religous retreat as a volunteer to help out. Eventhough this was my second time going on a confirmation retreat, I felt completely renewed, it was a chance for me to escape my problems and help younger students recognize their beliefs.
Lately I have been in a load of stress, having great amounts of school assignments and commitnments, espacially this past week. Balancing out my work and afterschool activites has been quite a hassle, but with just a single break from all this stress, I was able to release all my difficulties.
Eventhough the retreat is very hard work, especially for those who participate as instructors, I was able to find peace. The environment, the location, the people, were all factors that allowed me to disconnect from the realworld, leaving any issues back home behind.
Last year I went to this retreat as a "guest", I didnt really have much expectations and had no idea what I was getting in to. I had heard many comments about it, some good and some bad, but the minute I arrived, I new I was in the right place. Going as a "guest" I had people serving me, teaching me , and giving me advice regarding my faith; it was soemthing I truly admired.
This is the reason why I decided to continue with the retreat this year as well, but this time as an instructor. Being an instructor brought many responsibilites, which is where I was able to connect it towards the IA; not many students are willing to committ to certain tasks when asked, but in this retreat we are driven to demonstrate positive attitude and dedication.

We all know sacraficing our weekend is soemthing not many of us are cabale of, in fact I wasnt too siked at first, but honestly it was an experience worth consuming. I will never regret spending this weekend any different, I was able to build new relationships and anecdotes, motiviating me in doing the same next year.
